What we do
The Capital Valves Group was formed in 1979. We are specialist suppliers of valves to the oil, gas, petrochemical, power and industrial gases industries.
We are one of the largest independent European valve distributors, and supply gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, parallel slide, control and double block and bleed valves – both manual and actuated.
In an industry dominated by multi-national conglomerates, we are a fast, flexible, independent company offering top quality service and a refreshing sense of urgency.
Our clients
Our clients include most major international contractors such as Aker, Bechtel, Fluor, Foster Wheeler, Halliburton, KBR, Stone and Webster, Technip, or WorleyParsons. They come to us because we stock leading brands of valve manufacturers and have the experience and depth of organization to handle seven figure contracts.
We also have many OEM clients manufacturing skid mounted units or complete subcontracts from oil companies or contractors around the world. They come to us because we have the capacity to handle large packages of diverse valves, often accompanied by extensive documentation requirements from their end customers. We have handled important documentation in many languages, including Russian, on behalf of some of these clients.
We are accustomed to working with specifications from end oil companies such as Aramco, BP Amoco, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Shell (Mesc), or Statoil (Norsok). This is of great use both to main line contractors and to OEMs when selecting their suppliers.
We are also familiar with the needs of more specialised companies dealing in industrial gases such as Air Liquide, Air Products, or BOC / Linde, and experienced in requirements such as oxygen cleaning, cryogenic / gas testing, ultrasonic / X-ray, PMI, MPI, DPE and metal spraying.
We can supply GOST or Canadian Registration (CRN) certification.

Our commitment to quality is demonstrated by our BS EN ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. We were one of the first UK valve distributors to attain this essential industry accreditation.
In 2006 we were delighted to receive the Queens Award for Enterprise (International Trade).
