Non Slam Tilting Disc Valves
We supply a range of auto-closing butterfly valves fitted with hydraulic actuators, as well as a range of step seat and swing through type butterfly dampers, manufactured for installation in horizontal or vertical pipelines. The valves are fitted with lever arm and counter weight as standard.
Optional external hydraulic damper cylinders can be fitted to prevent the disc from slamming shut, ensuring smooth closing. We also manufacture a range of auto-closing butterfly valves fitted with hydraulic actuators, as well as a range of step seat and swing through type butterfly dampers.
Materials of construction
Body: grey Iron, ductile Iron, WCB, LCB, CF3 and CF8
Trim: ductile Iron with 316, duplex, WCB or LCB with 316 or duplex; special applications can utilise monel.
Pressure classes: 125,150,300 AWWA and ASME flange standards
Significant characteristics of this range:
- Large size up to 116” diameter double flanged
- Hydraulically damped closure with adjustable closing speed
- Seating using triple offset tight shut off technology, metal to metal sealing
- Aqua dynamic profiles on discs giving minimal pressure drops, typically less than 1 psi
- Glass flex high abrasion resistance paint used as standard on internal body coating
- Full port opening

84" tilting disc check valve supplied in 2007 to Saudi Arabia with replaceable triple offset metal seat. The valve incorporates double counterweight arms with adjustable weights. The valve is shown without its hydraulic damping cylinders.
